Multiple road construction projects will begin soon on Interstate 29 in the Drayton and Pembina areas.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is opening a public comment period for the state’s draft long-range transportation plan, Transportation Connection, from Tuesday, April 28, through Thursday, May 28, 2026.

As part of the ongoing Memorial Highway reconstruction project, traffic control at the 46th Avenue Southeast intersection will be adjusted in two upcoming stages as crews complete turn lane improvements and concrete repairs.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will visit four tribal nations to provide Non-Driver Photo Identification (ID) Cards that can be used for voting purposes.

Reconstruction of the Interstate 94 West Business Loop is expected to begin Thursday, April 23. Construction is expected to begin Monday, April 20, on the two-year 42nd Street and DeMers Avenue Underpass project in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to improve daily travel, reduce congestion, and enhance safety for residents and visitors.

Several temporary traffic pattern changes are expected to begin April 15 at the Interstate 94 Exit 161 interchange in Bismarck and continue through early fall. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead before traveling through the area.
