The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is ramping up construction at the I-94 Exit 161 interchange. This construction season, crews will focus on building a new bridge, demolishing the existing structure, constructing new ramps, and upgrading surrounding roadways, including Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway. The work will unfold in phases, with major milestones expected to be completed by November 2025.

Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 1, on Interstate 94 east of Bismarck.  

The project includes reconstruction of the eastbound lanes from the mile marker 162 to 172 and reconstruction of a portion of the eastbound Apple Creek rest area parking lot. 

A structure replacement project is scheduled to begin April 1 at the Sterling Interchange, Exit 182, on Interstate 94.

Construction on Memorial Highway in Mandan is set to begin around April 1, with preparations already underway.

Southbound lane closure is expected early tomorrow morning for guardrail repair on Interstate 29 at Exit 64 in Fargo.

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is seeking comments on an amendment to the 2025-2028 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to add three previously unpublished projects in 2025.

Starting at 6 a.m. Thursday, the left lane of westbound Interstate 94 will be closed between Sheyenne Street in West Fargo and the Raymond interchange for guardrail repair. 

Starting at 5 a.m., the left lane of eastbound Interstate 94 will be closed between Sheyenne Street in West Fargo and 45th Street in Fargo for guardrail repair on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
