The North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol opened Interstate 29 from Fargo to the South Dakota border as well as ND Highway 13 and ND Highway 11 between ND 1 and the Minnesota border.

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol opened Interstate 94 from Valley City to Fargo and I-29 Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to Fargo. Interstate 29 from Fargo to the South Dakota border will remain closed.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol have closed Interstate 94 from Valley City to Fargo and Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border due to icy roads, low visibility and multiple traffic incidents.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation announced today that registration for the annual North Dakota transportation conference is now open. The conference will be held March 10–11, 2026, at the Bismarck Event Center.

On Wednesday, Nov. 26, traffic at Exit 161 will shift to a new configuration that reflects the permanent flow for the completed I-94 interchange, expected next year. The most significant changes will affect eastbound I-94 and northbound Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway travelers.

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 19, the new roundabout at Pacific Avenue and Chateau Road is fully operational in Medora. 

Two traffic pattern changes are expected soon on Memorial Highway in Mandan due to an ongoing construction project.

The City of Minot will host a public input meeting on Thursday, November 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed reconstruction of Third Street from Fifth Avenue Southeast to First Avenue Northeast, and Central Avenue from Third Street Northeast to Fourth Street Northeast.

As construction continues along the U.S. Highway 2/Dakota Parkway corridor, Reede Construction will implement a traffic switch on Wednesday, November 12, weather permitting.

The Interstate 194 eastbound Memorial Highway exit into Mandan reopened today.
