BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will host a public input meeting Tuesday, March 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. to discuss proposed improvements to North Dakota Highway 18.

The meeting will be held at the Norseman Hall, 1100 Parke Ave., in Portland. There will be an open house format with a formal presentation at 5:30 p.m.

The project includes a mill and overlay on Highway 18 from Center Avenue in Mayville to Fargo Avenue in Portland and to the bike path adjacent to the highway. A portion of Parke Avenue will be reconstructed in Portland from Broadway Avenue to Grand Forks Avenue. Curb ramps along both Highway 18 and the bike path will be checked for ADA compliance. Pedestrian ramps found out of compliance will be replaced.

Representatives from the NDDOT and the consulting engineer will be on hand to receive comments and answer questions.
