BISMARCK, N.D. — The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is opening a public comment period for the state’s draft long-range transportation plan, Transportation Connection, from Tuesday, April 28, through Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Transportation Connection: 2025-2050 is North Dakota’s long-range plan for the future of the statewide transportation system. NDDOT is seeking input from stakeholders and the public to help shape a shared vision, values, goals, and strategies for transportation across the state.

A draft version of the plan is available to review on the project website at www.dot.nd.gov/transportation-connection.

Comments can be sent in to dotplanning@nd.gov by Thursday, May 28, 2026 with “Draft Plan Comment Period – Transportation Connection PCN 24421” in the subject line. 

The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting.
