BISMARCK, N.D. — Traffic changes continue along the Memorial Highway reconstruction project in Mandan as work progresses in the area.
The 46th Avenue Southeast intersection reopened to traffic on Monday morning following completion of recent concrete and turn lane extension work.
Beginning after 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, the 43rd Avenue Southeast intersection will close to allow crews to complete roadway and utility improvements in the area. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
What this means for drivers:
- Traffic will continue to shift throughout the corridor as construction progresses.
- Motorists will not be able to access Memorial Highway from 43rd Avenue Southeast during the closure.
- Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow posted signage.
- Access to businesses in the area will be maintained throughout construction.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation reminds drivers to slow down, stay alert and be prepared for changing traffic patterns in all work zones.
