FARGO, N.D. – Crews are expected to begin an overnight project to patch areas of Interstates 29 and 94 inside the Fargo city limits on May 21.

The project will be mobile, taking place on I-29 between 19th Avenue North and 52nd Avenue South. Work on I-94 will take place between Veteran’s Boulevard and the Red River.

Work will continue through the night until all portions of the designated work zone are finished. The work zone will be fully lit, with signs and dynamic message boards directing traffic to use open lanes. There will be an increased presence from Highway Patrol as well.

Nighttime road repairs are an effort by the North Dakota Department of Transportation to avoid heavy traffic in work zones and disruption to daily commuters. Less traffic through work zones results in a safer environment for drivers and workers.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation reminds motorists to slow down and use extra caution in construction zones. Up-to-date road conditions and construction information can be found by calling 511 or visiting the ND Roads map at travel.dot.nd.gov.
