BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol opened Interstate 94 from Valley City to Fargo and I-29 Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to Fargo. Interstate 29 from Fargo to the South Dakota border will remain closed.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol have closed Interstate 94 from Valley City to Fargo and Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border due to icy roads, low visibility and multiple traffic incidents.

North Dakota Highway 32 in Lisbon will temporarily close on Tuesday Nov. 4 at mile marker 35.8 to accommodate rail maintenance on the Red River Valley and Western Railroad crossing. 

Maintenance crews from North Dakota Department of Transportation are expected to sweep Interstates 29 and 94 through the city on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Work is slated to begin at 8 a.m. on I-29 southbound, and will affect at least one lane. Once that is complete, northbound sweeping will begin, continuing to I-94 eastbound and then westbound. Work is expected to be finished by 5 p.m.

All hay bales on North Dakota highway rights of way, must be removed by Saturday, Nov. 1. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation will begin fall mowing operations along state highways in early to mid-September.

North Dakota Highway 18, Langer Avenue in Casselton, will temporarily close Monday, Aug. 25, at mile marker 75.2 to accommodate rail maintenance on the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad crossing. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a routine inspection at the Four Bears Bridge in New Town July 14-22.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation will begin mowing a seven-to-ten-foot clearance along shoulders of state highways starting in mid-June to July 1 depending on grass height.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has temporarily closed the eastbound ramp at the U.S. Highway 2 and U.S. Highway 83 interchange in Minot due to emergency culvert repairs.
