BISMARCK, N.D. — Work began today on a bridge replacement project on North Dakota Highway 1806 near Cannon Ball at mile marker 35.
The project includes building a temporary bypass so traffic can move around the work area while crews replace the existing bridge. Once the new bridge is complete, traffic will be moved onto the new structure and the temporary bypass will be removed.
Drivers should expect reduced speeds in the area and a 14-foot width restriction throughout the project. Flaggers will direct traffic when needed.
The project is expected to be complete in mid-November.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation reminds motorists to slow down and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
