The 1” taper can be grout or concrete over top of the cap, or the taper can be shaped into the top of the cap.

 A circular hole drilled with an auger for a 24" round base is acceptable. The '24" square' refers to the exposed 4" to 6” above finished grade. This could be done by using 2x10s or 2x12s for the forms with 4" - 6" exposed and the rest below finished grade.

For the bid item "Remove Lighting System", what is the contractor's responsibility since the utility company removes their own poles/structures? What is the purpose of this bid item as part of this project?

1. Is tracer wire required on the water main or sanitary sewer? 2. For Item 46 (48" manholes) are those required to be the R-1955-1 floating frames?
