For structure 1806-034.274 at Cannonball River, if started before November 15th, will work be allowed to continue through the winter and past the November 15th deadline to allow for bridge footing placement in Cannonball River to avoid the spawning restriction between April 15th and June 1st?
Also, can you please confirm that the bypass roads need to be asphalted per Section 30 Sheet 4?
Has the DOT done gradation testing on the aggregates for the suppliers listed on the plans?
DOT Response
Substructure work at the Cannonball River Bridge will be allowed in the winter.
The temporary bypasses will need to be paved with commercial grade HMA according to Section 30, Sheet 4.
There have been no gradation tests or any material tests on the Borrow Clue locations shown in the plans. The intention of the clue is to indicate areas that have obtained cultural clearance for material source use. Any material sources used for the project must have Material Source Approval and a COA which for this project will require a field survey by a licensed archeologist and the Standing Rock tribe (See SP 226(25)).
