DOT Response

Response to additional question: Addendum will be processed to correct to an overall project completion date of 07/17/2027, so it is consistent with what is stated SP 109(25).

Original Response: The intent is to have the new road alignment grading completed in 2026 so it goes through a freeze thaw cycle before it’s opened to traffic in 2027. Contractor may begin work on the bridge as well during first year (2026), but not required in the SP. The existing bridge has to remain in place during the construction of the new bridge to keep the road open throughout construction.  Once the new bridge can be opened to traffic, then the existing bridge can be removed.
