Reference the Request for Proposal completion date for contract time. The contract only allows 120 calendar days to complete the work at the Menoken and McKenzie Interchanges which cannot be constructed concurrently so it is 60 calendar days per structure. The work consists of phased construction, removing and replacing the approach slab lip, approach slab and bridge deck overlay. Based on the NDDOT 2024 Specifications a 7 day cure time is required for the approach slab and lip repair pours and a 5 day wet cure of the deck concrete and overlay concrete pours resulting in 24 days of cure time per phase. In addition, the penetrating water repellant treatment cannot be applied until 21 days after the slab is poured. We request the NDDOT re-evaluate and modify the calendar day count to allow a reasonable time frame to complete the phased work based on the project specifications.
