Public Hearing to be held on April 27, 2017, to discuss the proposed New Town Northwest Route
A Public Hearing will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the New Town Civic Center at 103 Soo Place, New Town, North Dakota. The Public Hearing will utilize an open house format with a formal presentation at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to discuss the proposed route northwest of New Town. The proposed route would connect ND 23 west of New Town and ND 1804/ND 23B north of New Town.
This hearing is designed to allow for public input which is required for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1970, National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966. Representatives from the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson will be present at the meeting to answer questions and discuss concerns.

The Environmental Assessment, Nationwide Programmatic Section 4(f) Evaluation and De Minimis Impact Determination is available for public inspection from April 12 through May 12, 2017, at the New Town City Library, 103 Soo Place, New Town, at the NDDOT Williston District Office, 605 Dakota Parkway West, Williston, and at the information desk of the NDDOT Central Office, 608 East Boulevard Avenue, Bismarck.
The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
• an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities,
• language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency (LEP), and
• translations of written material necessary to access NDDOT programs and information.
