Public Input Meeting January 9, 2018, to discuss proposed improvements to 5th Street and Demers Avenue in Grand Forks


A Public Input Meeting will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Grand Forks City Hall.  The meeting will utilize an open house format with a formal presentation at 5:15 pm.


The purpose of the Public Input Meeting is to discuss proposed improvements to 5th Street and Demers Avenue (US 2 Business Loop).  The 5th Street project will consist of milling and overlaying the roadway and replacing curb ramps.  Various options for Demers Avenue will be discussed, ranging from mill and overlay to reconstruction.  The meeting will provide opportunity for public input.  Representatives from the North Dakota Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss your concerns.

If unable to attend the Public Input Meeting, written statements or comments must be mailed by Wednesday, January 24, 2018, to James Rath, ND Dept. of Transportation, 608 East Boulevard Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58505 or Email: jrath@nd.gov with “Public Input Meeting” in the e-mail subject heading.



The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:


 

  • an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities,

  • translations of written material necessary to access NDDOT programs and information.
