The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have updated the closure on US Highway 2 to include:
Eastbound US 2 is closed from Minot to Devils Lake
Westbound US 2 is closed rom Devils Lake to Rugby
Motorists are encouraged to check for updates on the Travel Information Map (http://www.dot.nd.gov/travel-info-v2/) as there are a number of closed and blocked highways in north central North Dakota and road conditions/status’ are continually being updated.
A No Travel Advisory remains in effect for highways in northwestern and north central North Dakota including the cities of Williston, Watford City, New Town, Minot, Bottineau, Harvey, Rolla, Rugby and surrounding areas due to extremely high winds, near zero visibility, snow drifts, blowing snow creating hazardous driving conditions. Conditions are such that motorists should not travel in these areas.
All travelers are encouraged to monitor road conditions as weather conditions occur and use caution while traveling. For road information, call 511 from any type of phone or go to the website www.dot.nd.gov.
