Red River Carts 1842

1852

The Sioux Ferry was one of the last ferries used on the Missouri River . The Ferry was built by Oscar Anderson and took its maiden voyage on Memorial Day 1952. The ferry operated until 1962.

1859

The first successful run of the Anson Northrop steamboat takes place between Fort Abercrombie and Fort Garry (Winnipeg).
