Construction begins Monday, July 24, on ND Hwy 5 from I-29 to the Red River near Joliette. The project will consist of patching, asphalt and base work. The roadway will be temporarily CLOSED 3 miles east of I-29 to the Red River. Local traffic will be allowed from I-29 to the road closure, other motorists will need to take an alternate route.

The project is expected to be complete near the end of July.
Motorists should also be aware that beginning Monday, July 24, Minnesota Hwy 175 (across the Red River bridge from this project) will also be temporarily closed from the Red River to Hallock, MN and is expected to be complete by late August.
