NDDOT regularly listed as one of the Top Places to Work in the state
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is regularly listed among the state’s Top Places to Work by the North Dakota Young Professionals Network (NDYP). In 2008, the NDDOT was named the state’s best place for young professionals to work by the NDYP. Since then, the NDYP has also named the NDDOT as one of Bismarck-Mandan’s top 10 places to work for young professionals for three consecutive years. Of the more than 1,000 NDDOT employees across the state, 30 percent are considered to be young professionals. Together, this diverse group of employees works to carry out the Department’s mission to “safely move people and goods.”
An anonymous panel of judges reviews the application submitted by each organization interested in being on the list of top employers and determines which employers offer the things young professionals look for when applying for a job. Some of these characteristics include competitive pay, flexible hours, continuing education and training, opportunities for advancement and a positive and supportive work environment.
The NDDOT’s core values are Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence (PRIDE), and the Department’s employees take these values seriously every day. The NDDOT is proud to be listed among the NDYP’s list of top professionals for young people. The Department will continue to strive to safely move people and goods while providing a positive work place for all of its employees.
