Title VI and Nondiscrimination Program/ADA

Under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and its related statutes and regulations, no person or groups of persons shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap, or income status, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any and all programs, services, or activities administered by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), its recipients, subrecipients, or other contractors.

2010 Title VI Advocacy Meetings

The NDDOT team of Title VI specialists conducted eight advocacy group meetings throughout the state, one in each District, during May and June of 2010. At each meeting, Title VI Specialists summarized the services and programs of the Department as it relates to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. The purpose of the meetings was to establish community outreach and statewide advocacy contacts. Additionally, three surveys were distributed to gather comments and ideas on how the NDDOT can better serve the represented constituents.
